Shady Springs Cottage is located approximately two hours north of Atlanta, about an hour and a quarter east of Chattanooga and thirty minutes west of Murphy, NC. We are ten minutes from Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA, just outside the city limits of Blue Ridge, GA. For a rough idea of the area where we are located, look at the big map for the spot where TN, NC & GA meet, we are just south of the GA line.

FROM ATLANTA AND POINTS SOUTH

I-75 North to I-575 North.

I-575 becomes Ga Route 5/515/76. Continue North through Ellijay and Cherrylog to Blue Ridge. Look for the McDonald's on your left at the traffic light at Highway 5 in Blue Ridge. At the McDonald's turn left onto Highway 5 North (towards Copperhill/McCaysville)

Stay on Route 5 for approximately 6 miles to Abernathy's Furniture Store. At Abernathy's turn left onto Old Highway 5 then right onto Madola Road.

Take Madola Road aproximately 4 miles until it ends at Mobile Road.

At Mobile Road turn right & go aprox one quarter mile. Look for our large black mailbox and Shady Springs sign. At the sign turn left onto Mill Creek Road.

Drive past the first three houses and follow the road into the woods onto our property. Cross the creek and you will see the cottage. Drive around & park in back of the cottage.(If you have any problems our office is the next house down the road past the cottage.)

FROM CHATTANOOGA AND POINTS WEST
I-75 North toward Knoxville, to Exit #20 East (Cleveland Bypass)

Approximately 6 miles to Highway 64 East (Ocoee Exit). Continue on Route 64 East approximately 20 miles thru the Cherokee National Forest.

Shortly after leaving the Cherokee National Forest you will come to the intersection with Route 68 in Ducktown (look for the Hardee's on your right). Follow the sign for Copperhill and go south on Route 68.

Take 68 South approx 1 mile to Grassy Creek Road and turn right (look for the Copper Basin Credit Union on your right, Grassy Creek Road is just past it). Go over the railroad tracks and the Ocoee River Bridge to the first left onto Deal Road.

Take Deal Road till it ends at Mobile Road. Turn right onto Mobile Road. Take Mobile Road aprox. 3 miles till you pass the sawmill on your left. The second road on your right after the sawmill is Mill Creek Road. (Look for our large black mailbox & Shady Springs sign)

At the sign turn right onto Mill Creek Road. Drive past the first three houses and follow the road into the woods onto our property. Cross the creek and you will see the cottage. Drive around & park in back of the cottage.(If you have any problems our office is the next house down the road past the cottage.)

FROM MURPHY, ASHVILLE AND POINTS EAST

I-40 West to Exit 27. South on Route 23/74 through the Nantahala Gorge and Murphy, NC. South of Murphy, go west on Route 64/74, across NC/TN line to Route 68 South at Ducktown.
